We
just added a SECOND batch of photos from Dan Reed !!
Well,
it was a good thing that David Rothman placed our order for great weather
early, because we certainly got our fair share of sunshine! While
there may have been raindrops in the neighboring area, not a drop was felt
as the VFR converged on Faulkner Cadillac in Trevose, PA for the
first dealer show of the season. FORTY region cars were on display,
including nine Emeritus vehicles. Almost one-quarter of the
showfield was 41 years or older - amazing!
It
has been over a decade since our last outing at Faulkner. We hope
the dealership was pleased - certainly the membership had a great time.
The food and the laughs and camaraderie were plentiful. Folks took
the time to show off some of their wintertime handiwork - new paint or
upholstery - or maybe nothing new at all! Although, as I said hello
to a fellow member that I haven't seen all winter, I was greeted with a
laughing "GOD, I HATE old cars!" Yes, old iron can be
temperamental, but the day at Faulkner chased away those wintertime blues
and kicked off the 2005 Dealer Show season in great style!
Two
50/50 drawings: Craig Perotty & Taylor Fox were the winners
A special Thank
You to Vicky Barruzza, Cathy Myers,& Nancy Hotz for
staffing the registration table and also to all the members who helped
judge! And, thanks to Drew Jacoby for all his help selling
50-50 tickets! I think we found a permanent job for him !!
