Saturday, 30 May was a day of nearly perfect car show weather—always a bonus for late May, when incendiary temperatures and / or tropical humidity are always possible. While participation this year was off a bit from the ’08 edition—a total of 30 vehicles were on display—there were a number of mitigating factors (e.g., the relatively late date; heavy competition from other events; the non-appearance of a local independent Cadillac club) that can be indicated as contributory. That’s the bad news, such as it is. On the very sizable good news side, the showroom had a quintet of head-turning Cadillacs covering, in effect, the entire lifespan of the dealership to date (if one is willing to stretch the definition a bit). And as a major plus that no fewer than four first-time participants (all from Delaware, one might add!) expressed interest in joining the club, which evinced interest was followed by the (e-)mailing of packages of information on membership.
