The National Weather Service was not as cooperative as one might hope, with at least a 40% chance of rain in the forecast on Saturday morning— and plenty of low-hanging clouds in evidence. (To be sure, that likely deterred potential attendees from making substantial trips; e. g., from the Raritan River Region.) Nonetheless, members showed up in sufficient numbers to place thirty-two cars on display for the inaugural Valley Forge Region show at Holman Cadillac. By all accounts, both members and dealer counted the show a smashing success. The weather turned out to cooperate after all, so the spectator turnout was definitely what one would have hoped for. The site also provided a fine opportunity for prominent placement of several later-day Cadillacs in proximity to route 73, thereby encouraging walk-in spectators to stop by and see the classics on display. In a consummate “turn the tables” move, Ronnie Hux volunteered to serve as coordinator and registrar for this show, and did a thoroughly professional job. Since he brought considerable experience from the dealer’s viewpoint, he knew what to do and how to do it going in— and did he ever get it done in style! Let’s have a standing ovation to the estimable Mr. Hux for a superb job!
