SCHEDULE

This schedule is set up to accommodate those who may only be able to attend one of the two days. This should be a fun weekend for kids of all ages, AND we made sure we have “top of the line” meals.

Call The Red Caboose Motel for room reservations at 717-687-5000 or outside area code: 1-888-687-5005, and ask for Tiffany. The blocked rooms are in the name of “The Cadillac & LaSalle Club.”

SATURDAY MORNING (April 14)

Meet at Charlie Brown’s Restaurant, our present meeting place, at 8:30 AM (directions here). We will depart at 9:00 A.M. SHARP! Those traveling from other areas may choose to make the trip on their own or with friends.

Arrive at the Red Caboose Motel at 10:00 A.M. 312 Paradise Lane, Strasburg, PA 17579. Just East of the Railroad Station and Museum.

There will be a buffet breakfast in our reserved dining car.

Check in to Motel. This Motel is built from real railroad cabooses from all over the United States, with all different road names, and authentic colors. They are converted into very comfortable rooms for couples and some units have bunk beds for the kids.

Proceed to the Railroad Museum Of Pennsylvania or the Strasburg Railroad for a ride on the train. Go through the Museum, take a ride on the train, or tour the area on your own. There are numerous Outlet Stores a few minutes from here.

Dinner will be on the Dinner Train. We need at least 28 reservations.

Boarding time will be 5:30 P.M. The “Theme” for this trip is “Murder Mystery.” The show and dinner are priced at $60.00 per person. Price includes all taxes and gratuities.

Food choices are Oven Roasted Prime Rib of Beef, Baked Flounder stuffed with Crab Meat, or Chicken Cordon Bleu. Garden Salad, Potato, Vegetable du jour, Beverage and dessert. Vegetable platter is available. Phone for contact with the Dining Car is 717-687-6486, or visit their web site at www.thediningcar.net.

Note: If we have enough reservations, we will have the dining car all to ourselves. That means 28 reservations are needed. After dinner will be time for socializing.

SUNDAY MORNING (APRIL 15)

Leave Motel by 9:30 A.M. and proceed to Willow Valley.

Brunch at the Willow Valley Hotel, 2416 Willow Street Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602 at 10:00 A.M. We will be in a private room reserved for the Cadillac & LaSalle Club. Our hosts will be Richard Sills and Shelley Chaddick. Cost is $28.00 per person, tax and gratuity included.

Return to the Motel. Walk to and visit the The National Toy Train Museum. Our Prez, Marty Watkins is a member of the Train Collector’s Association. We will enter the Museum, as a group at approximately 1:00 P.M. Group rate is $2.50 per adult, and $1.00 for children ages 6 to 12, children under 6 are free.

Depart in late afternoon.

If you have a friend in another car club, or family member you think may be interested in this run, by all means, invite them.
